Psalm 119:162
Another blessing was the good wishes, lunches and gifts from friends who made my birthday last all month long. One friend, who could be described as the Queen of gift Giving, presented me with a beautifully wrapped extra-large gift bag, inside of which was two more gift bags, with even more gift bags tucked inside of those. What a delight it was that evening to sit and open those gift bags one-by-one, each holding a special treasure from one friend to another.
The next morning on my way to read God's Word, all those gift bags were still sitting on my dining room table, and the moment I saw them, it hit me: Those bags were a picture of God's Word. For the Bible, you see, is like a giant gift bag, inside of which are many other gift bags with even more inside of those, each one holding a special treasure from God to us. But like my friend's gifts, God's treasures are only available to the one who is willing to take the time and make the effort to open them.
Don's miss out on the treasure in God's Word. Open it today!
My love and blessings,
