for he shields him all day long
and the one the LORD loves rests between his shoulders."
Deuteronomy 33:12
As I watched her maneuver her way through the doors and eventually disappear into the nursery area, where I assume she carefully unloaded, the Holy Spirit reminded me of the above verse and the truth that God carries me between His shoulders. And, as I thought further about it, it also occurred to me that sometimes I can be quite a load! Perhaps you can be too. Oh, we aren’t carrying babies and all their paraphernalia, but we carry our burdens, our hurts, our concerns, our unforgiveness and sometimes even our guilt and sin that we haven’t yet confessed and let go of. All are perfectly balanced. But the truth is, ladies, many of us carry far more than we need to. For, God wants you and me to let Him carry those things. All He wants us to do is rest between His shoulders.
Whatever load you're carrying these days, try laying it at the feet of Jesus, and then rest between His shoulder blades.
There’s no more comfortable place to be!
