Psalm 23:6a MSG
For one reason or another, the daughter had to leave early, so she got up quietly and began walking out of the room. Then, almost immediately, the mom--who was sitting next to me--got up and began following her, obviously wanting to talk to her daughter before she left. But the daughter was almost out the door, so the mom had to hurry. In fact, she literally began to run, trying to catch this girl of hers before she got away.
As this scene unfolded before my eyes, suddenly it was as if everything went into slow motion, and for a few split seconds it was no longer a mom chasing her daughter through the sanctuary, but in my minds eye, it was God chasing after us. That picture has been playing in my mind ever since. God, you see, runs after us because He loves us. That's what love does.
Now I didn't see the rest of the picture that day. The mom and daughter were through the door, but I imagine that when the daughter heard her mom, she turned around and stopped, allowing her mom to catch her. The big question is: Has God caught you? Have you heard him running behind you? Have you stopped and turned around and allowed Him to catch you?
God is running after you! For, He knows you are worth the catch!
Love and Blessings to all,
