You will stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me.
The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever;..."
Psalm 138:7-8 NKJV
Oh, his were different from those of today, but nonetheless, he was in trouble. He had done nothing but good, yet we find him under guard, sitting in prison waiting for a verdict. As I’ve read and re-read of the trouble facing him and how unjustly he was treated, I’ve come to see something else: God’s hand was upon him in the midst of it all. No matter who appeared to be in control or how difficult things became, God’s hands never left this man.
As this realization dawned upon me, my eyes caught sight of a photo on my desktop of one of my mother’s hands with one of mine, taken not long before her death. Seeing this picture made me realize the importance of the hands and how often my mother used hers to comfort, guide and protect not only me, but all those who felt the touch of her hands during her l00 years. No wonder God uses His hands to illustrate His care for us, especially in the midst of trouble.
If you’re one of those in trouble today, no matter what it may be or what the cause, read the above verses and claim God's promise that His hand is upon you, guiding you, protecting you, comforting you and perfecting whatever concerns you!
You see, there's nothing like the touch of God's hand when trouble creeps in!
Blessings,
